Hi everyone,
after having some trouble with setting up our own blog, we finally started feeding the blog with information about our research. For this we made each member of our group as an expert in a specific field of research. Those "experts" summarize their researches on our blog and also linked the sources.
Fields of research:
* govermental regulations (e.g. street measurements)
* ADAS - Advanced Driver Assistent Systems
* Injuries of pedestrians and most dangerous traffic situation
* Lighting (eviromental and automotive)
Conclusion:
With this research we figured out, that most accidents between a car and pedestrian happen at intersections, t-intersections and crossings. So we are focusing right now on this particular situation and are now trying to find out, what are the reasons for this high rate of accidents. We will create different scenarious (car vs. car vs. pedest vs. enviroment) and after gathering these information, we will decide on, wether we have to enhance "limited visibility", the "enviroment" or the interaction or "comunication between pedest/driver".
